The location is truly exceptional, just a
short stroll to many attractions and the stunning Basilica. Our stay was made memorable by the friendly staff, especially Oswaldo, who prepared delicious breakfasts each morning. However, we did find some rooms lack outside windows, which might not suit everyone.

The historical ambiance stands out, making the decor uniquely charming and captivating. Each corner seems to have a story to tell, truly enhancing the experience.
Early check-in options aren't clearly communicated, leading to some frustration regarding additional costs for a couple of hours. Additionally, guests may find the breakfast offerings a bit restrictive, as it’s served individually rather than as a buffet, which could be a letdown for some travelers.

Here’s what worked – and what didn’t
Rich in history the decor captures Ecuadorian charm with beautiful plants throughout. Every morning started right with an exceptional breakfast featuring fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order.
Constraints like restrictions on bringing food into the hotel led to an unfriendly atmosphere during my stay which dampened the experience.

The decor at Hotel La Basilica Quito is fun and unique! Our room was spotlessly clean, and all the staff were exceptionally helpful. Miriam welcomed us warmly and provided us with a wealth of information about the history of the hotel and the local area, along with a handy map. The breakfast was lovely, featuring fresh fruits and great coffee.
Somewhat dangerous to walk around the nearby area at night.

the location is ideal, but that’s really where the compliments end. after requesting an early check-in, I was greeted with the choice of paying for a full night, ridiculous. Plus, the bed was so small that I felt like a sardine. I was almost impressed, but I just couldn’t. what a shame!

Felt like family with the warm welcome! The hotel's history is quite charming, with beautifully decorated rooms that make it a unique place to stay. Plus, the rooftop views of the surrounding area are simply stunning!
But darling, don’t ask for a late checkout unless you enjoy the eye roll of the century! And bringing snacks? It’s like asking for a gold medal in a no-complaint Olympics here.
